amy: I moved from the UK to Illinois in September 2007. The previous twelve months had been spent in a transatlantic romance. The emotional roller-coaster of meeting and parting at airports and late night phonecalls became too much so we realized, after eight long months, that it was time to get engaged or let each other loose ... we made the best decision, we decided to tie the knot. My life is now unrecognizable, I was single, footloose and fancy free, keeping my world void of any permanent responsibility so that I could pack up and travel at any given point. I am now married, with a mortgage, a small art consultancy, a dog, a pug (not really a dog!) ... oh and two beautiful baby boys. Life is good.
